This Salomon shoes are probably the lightest shoes I ever had. They are very grippy and comfortable. Here are the specs:
100 percent Anti Debris Mesh/Water Resistant Textile
Imported
Rubber sole
Shaft measures approximately low-top from arch
Agressive Grip : Obvious and penetrating traction on soft ground
Precise Foothold : Close to foot and comfortable feel
Lightweight Protection : Just enough to provide protection for technical trail running
OUTSOLE: Wet Traction Contagrip
EVA midsole provides lighweight cushioning and stability

If you are looking for lightweight trail running shoes, this is it. Only 10.5 oz!

Can I call these Salomon trail shoes the best trail running shoes? Maybe, I do recommend you check out their XA Pro 3D, because those are pretty cool as well and it is a tough choice between the two. I have the the review on them as well. Also, XA Pro 3D, so far are the best road to trail running shoes in my opinion, because they are less grippy and a bit more stable across different surfaces.

So, what do you guys think? As a pair of Ultimate Survival Boots (well, shoes in this case), I think these might be an option if you live in the woods. Also, you will love them if you just want light trail running shoes.
