American Restoration premiered in 2010 on The History Channel and became an immediate hit in the era of Pawn Stars and Counting Cars. The show showcased Rick Dale at his Las Vegas-based business, Rick’s Restorations. Rick, who restored everything from classic cars to vending machines, had a knack for taking old and falling apart items and breathing new life into them. He was the soul of this show and why it amassed millions of viewers around the world.
With Rick and his team being such fan favorites, it came as a shock when it was renewed for the seventh season… without Rick! Instead, the show focused on five other restoration businesses. This left fans confused and wondering what happened to the original cast and why they were so abruptly kicked off-air.
