Can a Tomahawk missile hit a ship?
The Tomahawk missiles are designed for attacking fixed targets usually based on GPS coordinates. While they can navigate terrain quite well, they are completely unsuited for the anti-ship role. It was attempted during the 1980s to make a variant of the Tomahawk which was suited for attacking ships, this was done by putting the active radar seeker of a Harpoon missile into the Tomahawk, this variant was designated RGM/UGM-109B.
