Hey Guys! Welcome! In today’s video, I’ll try to give your answer of how long would it take to get to the nearest star?

We've all wondered, "How long would it take to get to the stars?" at some point in our lives. Could it happen in a person's lifetime, and could this kind of travel become commonplace in the future? There are many ways to answer this question, some of which are very simple and some of which are more like science fiction. But to give a full answer, you have to think about a lot of different things.
Unfortunately, a realistic assessment is likely to come up with answers that would make futurists and people who want to travel between stars very unhappy. No matter how you feel about it, space is a very big place, and our technology is still not very good. But if we ever decide to "leave the nest," we will have many ways to get to the Solar Systems that are closest to us in our galaxy.
Alpha Centauri is the closest star to Earth other than our Sun. It is a star system, not just a single star. This is because there are at least three known stars in Alpha Centauri, but there are no known planets in Alpha Centauri. Alpha Centauri is about 4.37 light years away from Earth on average. The star closest to Earth among these three is about 4.24 light years away.
The Helios 1 and 2 probes are the two fastest spacecrafts right now. They went almost 253,000 kilometers per hour. Remember that this is the fastest these spacecrafts have ever gone, not the fastest they could have gone. Let's say, for the sake of argument, that the fastest spaceship that could be built could go 350,000 km/h. It could be a little bit higher or a little bit lower, but the overall size would be about the same.
Also, remember that Apollo 10 was the fastest manned spacecraft, and it could only go almost 40,000 kilometers per hour.
At 350,000 km/h, it would take a spaceship about 13,080 years to reach the nearest star, which is 4.24 light years away. If we sent people to the nearest star, it would probably take 4.24 light years and about 40,000 km/h to get there. It would take about 114,500 years for this to get to the closest star. Unfortunately, I don't think any spaceship could keep people alive for that long.
And while the idea of interstellar travel makes you think of Faster-Than-Light (FTL) travel, like warp speed, wormholes, and jump drives, these ideas are either highly speculative (like the Alcubierre Drive) or only found in science fiction. Most likely, any mission to deep space won't get there in a few days or in an instant. Instead, it will take generations.
So, I don't think it's possible to travel to the closest star with the technology we have now, at least not in our lifetimes. We can only hope that people will soon come up with much better and faster ways to get around.
