The exhibition, Poor Things was brought together by artists Emma Hart and Dean Kenning in the hope that it might reveal the multiplicity of experiences of artists whose work speaks to working and lower-middle class backgrounds, whilst identifying points of commonality. While installing the exhibition they had conversations about art and social class with each of the artists, and these form the basis of the exhibition catalogue. To launch the book, Emma, Dean and as many of the artists who could make it had a discussion about some of the issues raised.
