Psalm 3 - King James Version (KJV) Audio Bible.
The book of Psalms, contained in the Old Testament, contains a compilation of poetic poems. Many of the psalms were written by King David but other authors included Moses Solomon, and Asaph just to name a few. The book of psalms is inspiring and expresses praises and worship to God for all the wonderful things which he has done. Many of the psalms, contained within the Holy Bible, cried out to God for help in difficult and challenging times or situations. Other psalms expressed thanksgiving and appreciation for God's intervention in human affairs, such as deliverance from enemies or wicked people. Reading the psalms is inspiring and encouraging. There is a psalm which covers every emotion people go through in life. No matter if you are happy, sad, hurt, heartbroken, thankful, or sick, there is a psalm which could help with expressing your deepest feelings and emotions to God.
A Psalm of David.
1) LORD, how are they increased that trouble me!
Many are they that rise up against me.
2) Many there be which say of my soul,
There is no help for him in God.
Selah.
3) But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me;
My glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4) I cried unto the LORD with my voice,
And he heard me out of his holy hill.
Selah.
5) I laid me down and slept;
I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
6) I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people,
That have set themselves against me round about.
7) Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God:
For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone;
Thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8) Salvation belongeth unto the LORD:
Thy blessing is upon thy people.
Selah.
