This flighsim is rarely even known out here it seems. If I'm not wrong, this is the only video on youtube and anywhere else where you could possibly see any LIVE action footage of it. Years have passed, but the Super Hornet still finds it's place. Many confuse Digital Integration's Super Hornet into Jane's F/A-18. They're both totally different games. In fact they were both released back in 2000 by the way. I think it still got the best detailed carriers / crewmen. Notice, that there are working crewmen equipped with lightsticks. Not even Lomac's ghost ship Kuznetsov / CVN-70, or FSX Acceleration's carriers are that well detailed. Maybe the level of detail is not so good nowdays, but the precised amount of micro details there and there brings the redibility into this game. For example the carrier got railings and catwalks all around the deck + on lower levels as well. Cannons, lights & signals, ILS talkdowns, everything is done precisely to give the players a feeling "to really be inside the game" It's not bad if you think it's a 2000 game! There are also operating lifts (animated stuff works only once but still nice) The most detailed object in this game is of course the star itself. Actually I should say the jewel itself! The player's Super Hornet! Digital Integration tried to reach high realism, and there it did succeeded somewhat. However, mistakes in game manual giving wrong message to players + campaign missions were shining with their absence. This is why it got negative critics from game reviewers., and they're not completely wrong either. Shortly after this game was released, Digital Integration throwed another card. "F/A-18E Super Hornet: The Albanian Campaign" It was supposed to fix the earlier child's problems it suffered of. Somehow I have missed this game, and therefore I can't go telling much about it..
