If you do have diagrams for input / output section of this player (or models 16, 860, 961) please let me know, for I'd like to build one for this player and for the 301 Wadia that is almost finished.
This is quality engineering and best DSP in the business but still does not read neither CDs nor DVDs. Hopefully when new lasers come from my Sydney supplier, I will see an improvement. None of the 3 lasers that came with this unit could do any reading but this is not the first time that this happened. This is probably because people usually buy the cheapest units they can find, instead of looking at the track record of the seller.
This unit uses 24 bit Burr-Brown PCM-1704 laser trimmed, resistor ladder DAC chips. Probably the most expensive audio DACs ever made. And it has 4 of them.
Strangely, it also has a choke underneath the DSP board that is so big, that I thought it was another power transformer.
