Hotdogs or tacos? Why not both? The Sonoran dog is a Mexican style hotdog that’s popular in states like Arizona. Wrapped in bacon and topped with salsa verde, it’s an easy way to jazz up a boring hotdog.
Ingredients:
Bacon, 1 slice per hotdog
Hotdogs
Buns, bolillo roll or larger hotdog bun
½ onion sliced
½ Cup diced raw onion
½ Cup diced tomato
½ Cup canned or cooked pinto beans
Mustard
Mayo
For Salsa Verde:
4 tomatillos
2 jalapenos
¼ of an onion
1 clove of garlic
5 sprigs of cilantro
Sides:
Green onion
Güero Chiles
Directions
1. Wrap bacon around hotdogs and slice ½ onion for grilling
2. To make salsa verde, halve and de-seed 2 jalapenos and peel 4 tomatillos. Roast in a pan or broiler along with a crushed garlic clove and a quarter of an onion for 10-15 mins
3. Transfer roasted vegetables to a blender along with cilantro and blend until smooth
4. Cook sliced onions and hotdogs together. Hotdogs are done when bacon is browned and crispy. Optional: grill green onions and chilies to serve on the side
5. Split buns from the top and steam in the microwave for 20 seconds with a wet paper towel to make them soft
6. Assemble the dogs and top with pinto beans, grilled onion, raw onion, tomatoes, salsa verde, mustard and mayo
Use jarred salsa if you don't want to go through the hassle of roasting vegetables to make the salsa verde.. but nothing beats fresh salsa verde. #ASMR #Cookingvlog Want to support? Buy me a 🌭 [ Ссылка ]
