Dr. Argent is the medical director of the PICU at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. His research has focused on critical illness in children, pathways to care, and understanding these issues in the developing world. Dr. Argent recently had an article published in the January issue of the journal Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, titled, “Pediatric Intensive Care in South Africa: Making Optimum Use of Limited Resources at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.”
