Speaking of Dutch... the word “hoor” is used universally to mean “sure” or “definitely.” You can use this word if you are agreeing or disagreeing with a statement. It’s one of those words where getting the pronunciation right is important. But you don’t want to emphasize the double oo sound, because it means something very different.
