Hi!
This is my review and summary of an amazing book: The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss.
The author relates to two very important laws:
Pareto’s law, also known as 80/20 rule. According to this law, the majority of results come from a selected few’s efforts. This means that you could probably ignore about 75 to 85% of your current customers, and focus on that 15 to 25% who are the most important for your business. Getting every possible customer shouldn’t be your priority unless you want slave yourself to death.
Parkinson’s law says that “the work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion”. You could probably do all your job duties in less than 8 hours, right? If your boss would tell you tomorrow “you can leave when you finish this project” you would probably finish everything much earlier.
