The Mayor's unopposed election reflects more a lack of political interest by the villagers than a belief in his abilities as a leader. Although his position is secure, the chief is seriously thinking about retirement since the arrival of strange creatures who have been wreaking havoc with many of the public utilities.

The Mayor is a very excitable, anxious, apprehensive man. He is short and plump, wearing purple clothing, and a top-hat typical of a mayor. He also has large pants in comparison to his shirt.
