Welcome back to my meal kit series! ⏰🍱🥢
Ep. ① Pork Katsu (Pork Cutlets)
These frozen panko crusted pork cutlets are perfect to cook up for a quick meal! This works for any protein of choice!
I like to serve them with a side of steamed rice or on top of Kimchi Udon (video coming soon) as Katsu Kimchi Nabe🥘.
It’s only seasoned with garlic powder and black pepper, making it toddler friendly. We eat ours with katsu sauce on the side (recipe on the website or store-bought works too).
How to cook:
⁍ deep fry: fill a heavy-bottomed pot halfway up with a neutral oil (I like canola or avocado). Heat oil to 350°F and cook the pork katsu until the internal temp reaches 145°F and crispy/golden.
⁍ air fry: preheat to 375°F. Generously coat both sides of the katsu with a neutral oil. I like to take a shallow dish and dip the katsu in oil (don’t worry, some of the oil will drip off in the air fryer). Cook for 20 min or until fully cooked and golden!
