I will be writing a longer post over on my Substack ([ Ссылка ]) about @adambaldwinmusic, but the short(ish) version is this: I was in the minority in terms of demographic up by the stage. Lots of late stage teenagers and early 20s girls positively swooning over Adam. A few old folks like me but not many. All of them cheered whenever he mentioned something local to Nova Scotia. And here's the wild part. I don't have any reference for his music. I didn't grow up or even spend any time anywhere he sings about or even anywhere remotely close to the Canadian Maritimes. I've only been in New Brunswick for four years and I'll be honest, it has been hard. All my face-to-face friends and family outside of my wife and kids are in Ontario or elsewhere. I saw Adam open for @AlanDoyleOfficial at the casino in Moncton and have been listening to him ever since. And here's the thing, I have never felt more like I belong here than when I'm listening to him. Thank you, Adam, for making this 50-year-old from Ontario feel welcome (and for writing one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard).
