The Republic of Chad has several regions: a desert zone in the north, an arid Sahelian belt in the centre and a more fertile Sudanian Savanna zone in the south. Most Chadians base their livelihoods on subsistence farming and livestock rearing. Climate change is affecting they way of live hard, forcing people to migrate. Causing instability and conflicts. Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim explains which adaption measures are important, why women have to be included in decisions making structures and last but not least, her demands to the international climate diplomacy and the industrial nations of the global north.
