How does THC work on the body? THC interacts with one of the body’s key regulatory systems called the endocannabinoid system, which operates through a system of cannabinoid receptors in the body. THC attaches to those cannabinoid receptors that are concentrated in certain areas of the brain associated with thinking, memory, pleasure, coordination and time perception and activates them.
