1977: The Big Parade That Almost Wasn't
Forty years ago a couple thousand locals turned out to see West Miami's Memorial Day parade and were treated to "the biggest event of its kind in the state." Seven hundred and fifty marchers, including bagpipers, marching bands, Congressman Claude Pepper and Uncle Sam made the scene.
