The Road Dogg Jesse James and Billy Gunn, collectively known as "The New Age Outlaws", would become one of the WWE's most recognizable and popular tag teams of the attitude era. Badass Billy Gunn and The Road Dogg went on to become tag team champions 6 times during their entire WWE career as a tag team while also ensuring their inclusion in the history books by joining D-Generation X.

Things weren't always so good for Billy Gunn and The Road Dogg however. Before becoming a tag team, the two were working with gimmicks that were definitely holding both men back. Jesse James was known as "The Real Double J" after it was revealed that he sang the infamous "With My Baby Tonight" song that was supposedly recorded by Jeff Jarrett, leading to Jesse James becoming a country singing superstar who would sing songs on his way to the ring. Billy Gunn, on the other hand, was repackaged around this time as "Rockabilly", the protégé of the Honky Tonk Man. Originally, Disco Inferno was pencilled in to be the Honky Tonk Man's new student but plans fell through, and we instead got Billy Gunn as Rockabilly.

Noticing the writing was on the wall, both men came together to form a new tag team in 1997. This mini documentary from Wrestling Bios coveres the debut and initial few months for this new team, collectively known as The New Age Outlaws.
