The Doubletree by Hilton in Patong Beach shows: It doesn't always need to be 5 stars to enjoy a comfortable holiday. We're taking a close look at the hotel: a Room with Direct Pool Access and one of their One-Bedroom Suites, before checking out the 3 pools with pool bars, and having breakfast which pretty good for a 4-star hotel.
Also, we're taking a trip to Phuket in 2021, when the beaches were deserted, Robinson-Crusoe feelings included.

(NB: currently the prices are generally very high in Phuket, which is due to the high season, but also the enormous demand after the end of the Covid crisis.)
