The Russian nationalist leader, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, said on Saturday (21/9) that President Yeltsin did not need American specialists to look after his heart condition.
Zhirinovsky also said Yeltsin's scheduled heart operation was not necessary as the Russian leader would die within a few months anyway.
Zhirinovsky was speaking to journalists during a protest meeting outside the United States embassy in Moscow. The protest was organised by his party against US air strikes against Iraq earlier this month.
