The state wants Chris Mahlangu - who bludgeoned Eugene TerreBlanche to death - to face life improsonment.
The state also called for a 5 year sentence for teenage accused Patrick Ndlovu.
The court heard closing arguments today in mitigation of sentencing.
Chris Mahlangu was found guilty of murder while Ndlovu was convicted of house breaking.
