Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in London's Trafalgar Square to protest against the UK's government's coronavirus measures on Saturday.
Video footage showed protesters holding up banners which read "COVID HOAX" and "no mandatory vaccines" as they packed the London landmark contrary to current social distancing rules.
The protest entitled 'Unite for Freedom' called for an end to coronavirus measures including lockdowns, social distancing, mask wearing and track and trace systems.
The organizers view the coronavirus measures, introduced by the U.K. government to curb the spread the virus, as a violation of people's rights and freedoms.
In the United Kingdom 41,486 people are thought to have died of the virus and there have been 362,097 confirmed cases according to a Reuters tally.
