BASEMENT WATERPROOFING PROCESS USING ANCHOR GRIP MEMBRANE ON PCC
1. Level and compact the raft floor sub base and cast the floor PCC below raft and cure it for 7 days.
2. Lay and fix the membrane on floor PCC and join together with 30 to 50 mm overlap by using both sided self- adhesive stick tape.
3. Fix the external formwork of raft slab and fold the membrane at all outer side of raft slab to the height equal to thickness of raft slab, taking support of formwork.
4. Place the raft reinforcement carefully and cast the raft floor with concrete.
5. Erect and fix the outer side formwork of retaining wall.
6. Place the anchor grip membrane in vertical alignment and join together using both sided self-adhesive stick tape.
7. The membrane can be kept in position by sticking the membrane to the formwork using both sided stick tape cut pieces.
8. Fix the vertical and horizontal reinforcement and fix the internal formwork and cast the wall with concrete.
9. Remove the wall formwork carefully.
10. Join the raft folded membrane and wall membrane together using extra over Geo-Proof plain membrane sticking / joining with both sided self-adhesive stick tape.
11. Similarly join all side corner wall membrane by using extra over ‘L’ shaped strip of Geo-Proof plain membrane sticking / joining with both sided self-adhesive stick tape.
12. Fill the tie rod holes with concrete grout and patch up the membrane hole or any damages surface using Geo-Proof plain membrane and sticking with both sided self-adhesive stick tape.
13. Refill the surrounding area with fine aggregate and sandy soil, making proper external water drainage provision.
14. The joining of the membrane can be done alternatively by using high temperature hot air gun, take the joining trials before start of application.
