This video depicts the progression and culmination of the Community Benefit Arts Showcase. People supported by the James L. Maher Center, together with students from Professor Nancy Nester's Writing for Social Change class at Roger Williams University, worked to create congruent pieces of art to present in an art show. The aim of the Community Benefit Art Showcase is to establish a sustainable art program for those suffering from developmental disabilities who are being supported by the James L. Maher Center. Art allows clients to have a higher level of esteem and self-actualization. We urge you to recognize the obvious benefits of this program and attend the art show on April 24th 5-7pm in the Roger Williams University Library Mary Tefft White Center.
