In the "Red Hood and the Outlaws" comic series, Red Hood, or Jason Todd, is portrayed as more complex than just an alpha male. Despite his tough exterior, he has a softer side towards family, even though he speaks negatively of them. His vendetta against Penguin stems from his father's wrongful imprisonment due to Penguin's crime. Red Hood seeks revenge, leading to a confrontation where he inadvertently exposes Penguin's identity and Batman's. After a brawl and an explosion, Red Hood's team tries to prevent a self-destructing sky base. Jason's attempt to escape is foiled by Batman, who reprimands him for breaking his no-kill rule. The scene ends with an intervention by Arsenal.
