The M2 Carbine is a level 23 unlock for the Allies in the Invasion of Normandy campaign for Enlisted. Since this gun is considered a rifle, it can be given to most soldiers much like the FG 42. With that being said, this rifle performs much differently from its counterpart, the FG 42. It features a 30-round magazine and a very high fire rate which gives it a fantastic DPS (damage per second). Since this is a select-fire rifle, it does not suffer from the semi-auto fire rate nerf as the M1 Carbine does, which makes this gun much more enjoyable to use. It does not hit as hard as most other rifles, but it makes up for that lack of damage with fire rate and magazine size. While the FG 42 is like giving an LMG to your riflemen, this gun is like giving an SMG to your riflemen. This rifle actually shreds through soldiers incredibly quickly, the hardest part about using it effectively is getting used to the absolutely awful sights. Because of this, I tend to just hip-fire it more often than not. Overall, the M2 Carbine is not to be underestimated and is actually a fantastic weapon.
