Join us in celebrating the remarkable journey of Nick Gazzard, a Bristol-born alumnus of St Paul’s College (now part of the University of Gloucestershire), and a former player for Cheltenham Town Football Club.
In this honorary speech, Nick shares his inspiring story of turning personal tragedy into a powerful force for change. Following the heartbreaking loss of his daughter, Hollie, in 2014 to domestic violence, Nick founded the Hollie Gazzard Trust. His commitment to this cause has been relentless in raising awareness about the horrors of domestic abuse and stalking, aiming to prevent such tragedies from recurring.
The University of Gloucestershire proudly awards Nick Gazzard an Honorary Fellowship in recognition of his extensive charitable efforts towards ensuring safety and well-being. His invaluable contribution and unwavering support to our academic programs, including Criminology, Paramedic Science, and Professional Policing, as well as to our research on domestic homicide, have been instrumental in educating and safeguarding communities.
Join us in this memorable event as we honor Nick's dedication and impact. His story is one of resilience, hope, and the power of turning grief into a force for positive change.
