Missing my connecting flight with Turkish Airlines left me stranded, yet captivated by Istanbul's beauty!

I visited Hagia Sophia and admired its incredible architecture and history. The mosaics, lights, and paintings are just breathtaking. The adjacent Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace added to my unplanned cultural immersion.

I also met some amazing people! Together, we enjoyed Baklava at Hafiz Mustafa, who have been perfecting the art of baklava for over a century and a half, since 1864. Their pistachio baklava is a must-try! Lastly, I explored Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world. The aromas of spices and tea, complemented by the soft touch and vibrant colors of pashminas and cashmere, left a lasting impression.
