This is the Tomb of the freedman baker Eurysaces at Rome's Porta Maggiore which carries the Claudian aqudeuct. Built c. 30 BC (eighty years before the aqueduct) it ended up being absorbed and thus preserved in the third century AD city gate tower which has now been demolished, revealing the tomb. It has an inscription showing the bread-making process and an inscription which tells us he was MARCUS VERGILIUS EURYSACES and his wife was ATISTIA. Exactly what the cylinders and circles on the tomb are is unknown - perhaps grain measures? It is one of Rome's most famous minor monuments.
