The short answer to this question is NO you can't.
In this video, we'll talk about what it means for your car to be "fit" or "unfit", and explain a little bit more about this terminology. Also, we'll talk a little about 10 day permits ...and why they are currently...useless.
A quick explanation for anyone who likes reading:
If you buy your neighbour's car (for example), the car is 'FIT' once it's in your neighbour's name with their plates attached. The next day, you go to *the Ministry together, so that you can transfer the car into your name. The moment the car switches into your name, with no plates attached, the car becomes 'UNFIT. To make it FIT again, you need to purchase a license plate or transfer your old plates to the car...to do this you will need a valid Safety Inspection Certificate (given from a licensed Motor Vehicle Inspection Station...like our auto repair shop located at 1295 Weston Rd.!). Once you have the valid Safety Certificate, now the car can be plated and is 'FIT'.
