Loaded Rock Train Pours It On To Hit The Hill In Williamsburg, Ohio. See One Rock Train Unloading & Another Rock Train With Storage Tank Cars Going Around The Curves And UP The Grade. I was working on a video at home when the son notified me of a train going through Mount Orab. I knew they were going westbound since I filmed them running eastbound the day before. This train came from Hanson Quarry at Plum Run with 14 loads of rock and 6 white tank cars that had been in storage on the east end.
First we see them at the railroad crossing on Eastwood Road in Mount Orab. I got the conductor side of the train here. Then I decided to get the engineer side of the train so that we could see both sides. We see the train going around the tight curves and up the hill in Williamsburg. The train got a good run at the hill and the conductor was in a car next to me watching the train. The conductor on CCET always rides in a car and the engineer is the only person normally on the train.
Next we see the other GP15-1 with a rock train unloading the cars at Milford, Ohio. I filmed this train on the same day but a few hours earlier. Btw, the MP15DC little black switcher locomotive is on the maintenance siding inside of the wye at Sardinia. It has been there for a while.
