Karla is a nurse consultant in our Family Home Visiting Section. She grew up on the Dakota Oyate Lake Traverse Reservation in North and South Dakota. Karla works out of the Bemidji District Office and serves Minnesota's Northwest counties and all eleven tribal nations. One of the things she likes most about her job is knowing she is making a difference in children's lives, and being able to see tribal communities reclaiming their sense of identity.
