Well things are looking up when the sun is shining this bright and subfloor of the tiny house is being wrapped up. With a bit of work I show you how you can make your tiny house warm and cozy in the cold months with not alot of cost. Check out the simple installation of R-20 fibreglass insulation in this episode of the tiny house/cabin build. I'm moving right along this week as I get right to it and stuff the floor joists full of insulation followed up by a vapour barrier and subfloor. Be sure not to miss the critical step of install a polypropylene "poly" vapour barrier to ensure that moisture created when cold outside air hits warm inside air doesn't condense on your interior surfaces. This step is critical and if forgot, it's too late. In this video you will also see why it's important that your floor joist framing measurement were accurate as now is the time to secure the plywood with screws. Remember this key rule...all edges of the plywood should be resting on a pieces of framing. If there is an edge that is sort of floating around without support underneath it, the framing is not going to cut it. Be sure to ask any questions you have in the comments below. Let's get back down to work. Winter's coming! Here we go!
