Part Number 285565 replaces 3348117, AP3094459, 3352106, 470786, AH334557, EA334557, PS334557.
WARNING: before starting any repair, always make sure that the appliance is completely disconnected from the power source by unplugging the appliance.
Tools needed:
7/16" extended socket wrench
Step-by-step how-to instructions for replacing the complete agitator (part number 285565) in a Maytag (Whirlpool) Washer (model number MVWC300BW1)
1. Unplug washer and turn off water
2. Open washer lid
3. Remove softener dispenser
4. Remove dust cap
5. Remove agitator bolt
6. Lift up on upper agitator and discard old agitator cam
7. Assemble new cam kit by placing agitator dogs on cam and securing with retainer
8. Lift up on agitator base
9. Place new agitator base
10. Place spacer
11. Place cam in new upper agitator
12. Place upper agitator on base
13. Screw in agitator bolt
14. Place new dust cap
15. Replace softener dispenser if you have one
16. Close lid
17. Plug in washer, turn on water, and give it a test run!
