Survival in post apocalyptic world is pretty normal thing, at least in videogames. But Impact Winter does this quite differently! We sat down with Stuart Ryall from Mojo Bones studio to talk about the upcoming adventure.
The game developers relationship with Bandai Namco started soon after the successful Kickstarter project. Guess the popularity and unusual setting of "No Mad Max, No Fallout, No Deserts" apocalyptic world attracted them.
"The game is very much inspired by the old post-apocalyptic games as well as games like Oregon Trail, board games, table top games, all those have been big inspiration for us", Ryall says.
"The inspiration goes back to the original concept built around a team being stuck in one location, which in our game is the church. Once they realize they had to leave this home we started thinking about what the world is like around them. As a team we normally try to do things differently, so we didn't want to have zombies, we didn't want to have SciFi, we didn’t want to go the traditional post-apocalyptic route with the desert. We just kind of gravitated to do something very different."
And bang, there comes the winter. But what is the most utmost survival challenge the team itself has done? Watch the interview to find out!
