In reality you can't learn to Solder in 2 minutes, but you may get some helpful tips from the video!
Instructions:
1. Choose the best Iron you can (Min 50w) 'Watts' are more important than temperature, you need the power to transfer the heat.
2. Don't use lead free Solder (it's crap!) (Just wash your hands after use and don't breath in the fumes)
3. Use a Helping Hand
4. Get some wire strippers (super cheap)
5. Tin your wire (Hold the hot iron under the wire and put the solder on the other side and let it soak in, if the insulation starts melting or smoking, you have held the iron on to long, or got it to hot)
6. If you are using a connector, tin that also using the same method.
7. Don't forget to put your heat shrink on before completing the joint!
8.With both items tinned, hold the cable on the tinned item, put a small amount of Solder on the iron and hold it on to the connector until both the connector and cable have the solder melted on them. Release the iron, hold the cable steady, until the solder has cooled.
9. If connecting 2 wires together, don't tin either of them, twist together and use the method of tinning above but with both wires twisted together.
Happy Soldering!
