Hiring talented people is hard. Hiring lots of talented people, growing a team, and scaling that success is really hard. Insight was founded on the premise that a new educational model could help optimize hiring for data teams. Over the past 5 years, we have worked with over a thousand scientists and engineers, helping them embark on new careers in data. At Insight we’re able to observe both sides of the dynamic between hiring teams and the scientists and engineers who have come through our programs in Data Science, Health Data Science, Data Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence. In this talk, I’ll share some of the lessons we’ve learned from their experiences.
