On June 8, 2024 at 3:26 PM UTC Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo vehicle VSS Unity was dropped from the center wing of VMS Eve - which had taken off from Spaceport America in New Mexico, USA about an hour earlier - with the six person crew of the Galactic-07 mission on board. The astronauts on this mission were Tuva Atasever, a Turkish research astronaut for Axiom Space who was also the backup mission specialist for the Axiom-3 mission, private astronaut Anand "Andy" Sadhwani from California, private astronaut Irving Pergament from New York, and private astronaut Giorgio Manenti from Italy. There were also two Virgin Galactic crew members on board: Nicola Pecile of Italy and Jameel Janjua of Canada, both on their fourth and first spaceflight respectively. This mission marked the final commercial flight of VSS Unity, as Virgin galactic is now in the process of constructing a new class of vehicle. VSS Unity successfully landed back at Spaceport America after the mission. This was VSS Unity's 11th manned flight and 17th overall, having previously supported PF01, PF02, PF03, PF04, VF-01, VF-02, VF-03, Unity 22, Unity 24, Unity 25, Galactic 01, Galactic 02, Galactic-03, Galactic-04, Galactic-05 and Galactic-06.
