The Pantheon is a former Roman temple, now a church, in Rome, Italy. It is currently located on what was once the site of an earlier temple commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus. The Pantheon rises to a height of 71 feet and has a diameter measuring about 142 feet. Its construction began in 27 BC by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa. It was then completely rebuilt by the emperor Hadrian between AD 118 and 128. Some alterations were also made in the early 3rd century.
