Frozen Lake Khalti Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
In the north of Pakistan there lies a beautiful lake, located in Khalti village of Ghizer district (Gilgit-Baltistan), at an altitude of 2217m (7274ft). It’s named after the alluring village of Khalti. This lake formed back in 1979-1980 in the village of Khalti and this year it has become the most prominent home for winter sports and has attracted a considerable number of local tourists. The depth of this lake is 24m (8098ft) while it has a surface area of 98 acres which gets covered by an ice sheet during the winters. That is because it showed up as the most the most striking winter sports hub and has tourists attraction across the nation and it is yet to be explored by the tourist community across the globe.
