CBS dominated the sports broadcast rights for the NBA during the 70’s and 80’s. Having seen the NBA dark ages of the mid 70’s, the Larry Bird and Magic Johnson rivalry was a welcome new occurrence to start to recover from lack of sponsorship dollars, poor ratings and tape delay.
This segment is the completion and celebration of the Los Angeles Lakers winning Part II in the Lakers Celtics rivalry.
