LOLJA NORDIC is an artist, feminist and anti-war activist from Saint-Petersburg. She is a co-coordinator of the Feminist Anti-war Resistance movement and a participant of the 8th Initiative group (8IG – community of feminist activists of Saint Petersburg). She is the co-organizer of the annual international charity festival “Ne Vinovata” (“Not Her fault”) in support of domestic violence survivors and a volunteer of the organization “Friends of Mariupol” which provides humanitarian help and assistance to Ukrainian refugees. In her work, she explores the subjects of human rights, social justice, environmental/climate justice, ethics, safer and more inclusive spaces for vulnerable social groups and horizontal approach to building grassroots political resistance and communities. As a multidisciplinary artist she works with photography, video, performance, drawing and text. Her articles and columns about culture and society have been published in Forbes Women, Colta, The Blueprint, Vogue, Wonderzine, The Calvert Journal, Seans, Afisha and others. In March 2022 Lolja Nordic moved to Estonia.
