Wild Dogs Attack Tsessebe
The sassaby, also known as the common tsessebe, is a close relative of the bontebok. It has a comical appearance, with high, sloped shoulders that drop to a small rump that does not appear to be particularly robust, and guess what? The Common Tsessebe is a favorite of wild dogs because they find this animal funny-looking, and they enjoy getting the last laugh. Another Tsessebe is grabbed right away and learns all about wild dogs.
It couldn't do anything, no matter how hard it tried. Imagine being born in a world where you're drop-shipped in the middle of nowhere and practically everyone sees you like food or competition. This Tsessebe is hoping the pain will go away, but it’s just beginning, as a pack of wild dogs eats right through the poor animal. He tries to get up and run, but the more he tries, the more they tear him up, so he eventually gives up.
Wild Dogs Vs Hyena
This hyena is in a lot of trouble, and it's not finding it funny either. The hyena is encircled by a large pack of wild dogs, which it is attempting to defend against, but the attacks are coming in spurts from all sides. There are simply too many dogs attacking the hyena. I'm truly astonished by the hyena's ability to keep its cool and stand its ground in the face of such adversity for such a long time.
When a hyena tries to get a portion of the dog to kill, it gets difficult, but the dogs can multitask and eat and fight at the same time. However, when a few more hyenas enter the fight, they can grab the carcass. A hyena lays on the ground, possibly injured or dying as a few wild dogs smell it to get an idea of its condition. Surprisingly enough, the dogs don’t attack it. I’m not sure they’re the ones that even injured it. It almost looks like they feel sorry for the scavenger for some reason.
