May 10, 1989 - Just one month and three days after breaking his left hand in a skirmish with Chicago Bulls center Bill Cartwright, Detroit Pistons guard Isiah Thomas soared high for a first quarter tip-dunk during Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semi-Final matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Thomas missed just two games following his injury (he was suspended for these contests, anyway). His play following the injury was riddled with inconsistency. In Game 1 against the Bucks, he shot just 4-of-17 from the field.
