We met up with an old Marine Corps buddy near his hometown of Providence to try Maine’s local cuisine. He steered us to the costal town of Ogunquit in a “New American Fusion Gastro-Pub” named Food for Thought. Their food was amazing, and thanks to the owner, much of it was gluten-free.
To capture the Maine flavor in one dish, it was recommended to try their “Lobstah” Roll, with fresh Maine Lobster, candied bacon, and white Remo all on a gluten free bun.
Lilly tried their Congdon’s Donut Grilled Cheese, which was a honey dipped donut, “all the cheese,” in a roasted tomato bisque. The presentation was incredible, but short lived as the donut and cheese began to ooze off the ring holding it before Lilly could take a bite.
To top things off, Levi decided to do a Food for Thought “News Flash” to declare his desire to never share a cheeseburger again. “No half circle cheeseburgers” for this man again!
