She was born in a Punjabi family in Pakistan.
In 2002, she started her career as a TV presenter by hosting a show called Prime Gupshup on Prime TV.
She showed her comic skills on a show by mimicking the actors occasionally.
Prior to becoming an actor, she worked as a comedian for several television shows.
In October 2010, she appeared in the Indian television reality show- Bigg Boss Season 4.
In 2011, she became a part of the Cricket World Cup reality show in India, called ‘Big Toss’.
Later, a show- ‘Veena Ka Vivah’ was planned by Imagine TV where she was supposed to search for her soulmate, but the show was called off when Imagine TV announced that it was shutting down.
All her acting ventures such as – Yeh Dil Aapka Huwa, Pind Di Kudi, Sassi Punnu, etc ended up as a failure at the box office.
She made a special appearance in an item song ‘Shabboo’ from the Punjabi film- Jatts in Golmaal.
She made her Kannada film debut with the film -‘Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Hot’, in which she portrayed the life of Southern actress Silk Smitha. She put on 5 kg weight for the role.
It is alleged that she promoted her film ‘Zindagi 50-50’ at Kamathipura, the largest red-light area in India.
She has also worked as a representative at the World Health Organization for two years.
She also sponsors a child at the SOS Children’s Village, a Pakistan based NGO which works with orphans.
