How I make almond milk: [ Ссылка ]
OK so we're getting a rash of "really smart" people who have found out that most consumable liquids contain mostly water. Absolutely brilliant discovery. You are all now honorary scientists. Now as scientists, you'll all need to sharpen your math skills somewhat... Problem is that you mind blowing discover completely ignores the almond content ratio that is the point of this video. You are buying a tiny fraction of almond. It is such a minuscule amount that they need to thicken it with gum to make it seem like almond milk. Yes, there is such a thing as almond milk. THIS IS NOT IT!!! Actual almond milk is thick and milky (no gum deception needed) when made properly!!! They could make actual almond milk and still make a huge profit. Why don't they??? Because people don't demand it. People are comfortable when they are properly deceived! Not only do people not take issue with the giant corporations screwing them, they actually do battle with people who expose the fraud!!! Way to be consumer advocates for big corporations for free! Interesting how many people stand with Goliath!
Watch for our how to recipe on making your own! I wondered why there was not even really any almond flavor. Companies SHOULD profit but they should NEVER mislead consumers. I do not like to pay almost $8.00 a gallon for filtered water and I recently learned that this is essentially what I have done when I buy almond milk. Of course there is arguably up to about .25 cents worth of actual almond substance in this water so when you add it all up, I might be getting up to about .30 cents with of stuff for $4.00.
I consider the way that almond milk is packaged, presented and sold to be very misleading and it turns out I am not alone. This substance that many consumers think is chock full of almonds is anything but! Almond milk is actually only about two percent actual almond and there is now a class action law suit against Blue Diamond and their "Almond Breeze" product for misleading advertising practices.
If you think that this is all a big fuss over nothing and you are happy with your $8.00 per gallon almond fantasy product. By all means vote with your wallet. However consider this, the vast majority of recipes for almond milk call for one part almond and three or four parts water, which gives concentration of 25-33% of almonds.
The packaging states that almond breeze in "made from real almonds" when a more honest statement would be, "made from real water" and maybe, "includes a trace amount of real almond".
