Just because the Atari Asteroids cabaret that I recently scored for just $100 was fully working when I picked it up, that doesn't mean that it was ready to be added to my home arcade lineup as-is! In this episode, Charlie will knock out a bunch of minor fixes to get this cabinet into "basement-worthy" condition, including complete disassembly & cabinet scrub-down, cleaning the game PCB edge connector, rebuilding the marquee fluorescent light fixture, replacing the 2N3055 power transistor on the AR-I board, reflowing the headers on the AR-I & monitor deflection board, replacing the control panel buttons, fixing the coin door, and lots more!
