And does it still lurk in a real labyrinth today?

A famous Greek legend tells of a monster that lurked in a dark labyrinth below the palace of King Minos. All who tried to slay him got lost in the maze and devoured by the hungry beast. But then along came a hero named Theseus whose clever girlfriend Ariadne made him bring along a ball of thread. Theseus killed the Minotaur and followed the thread back into the light.

Of course the Minotaur and his labyrinth are just a dark fantasy. Or are they?

To find out, we descend into a cave on the island of Crete. And there we encounter real danger, and what looks a lot like Ariadne’s thread.
